The project in detail

Together with our customer Heinrich Send, we dismantled an ageing steel bridge in 24-hour shift operation. The project presented us with a number of challenges due to the limited space and tight time frame.

But the plan worked: First, our earthworks team prepared an approximately 50-meter-long gravel bed as a storage area for the segments to be dismantled. Once we had removed the concrete roadway and sidewalks, the lightened structure could finally be pulled by a Terex CC3800 crawler crane from Franz Bracht. Our team then worked in 24-hour shifts to dismantle the superstructure segments, which weighed over 100 tons, and took over the partial dismantling of the abutments. We are delighted that our joint project with Heinrich Send worked so well and would like to thank them for their close cooperation!
