As a private individual, you can easily recycle small quantities of scrap and metals, for example from clearing or renovation work, with us.

Environmentally friendly on the way to the perfect raw material cycle
Steel scrap is an indispensable raw material for the circular economy and can be recycled an infinite number of times. Knepper has a long tradition in steel scrap recycling and attaches great importance to environmental protection. With our efficient and environmentally friendly collection and transportation logistics, we ensure that scrap is returned to the raw material cycle as a valuable recycling material.
The more steel scrap is recycled, the fewer primary raw materials such as iron ore and coking coal have to be mined and transported. A study by the Fraunhofer Institute shows that the use of 1,000 kg of steel scrap saves 1,670 kg ofCO2. Without the processed secondary raw materials from our scrap yard, environmentally friendly industrial production in Germany would not be possible.
As a waste disposal company, we play a key role in the steel recycling value chain and send tons of steel scrap on its way - in the most environmentally friendly way possible. We ship larger quantities via the port in Hamm-Uentrop. This savesCO2 and protects the environment: 40 trucks would be required for a shipload of 1,000 tons.
